CSC’S CREDENTIALING PROCESS
Cosmetic Surgery Consultants screens cosmetic surgeons in accordance with National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and Utilization Review Accreditation Commission (URAC) guidelines. These organizations are accreditation entities that apply quality measurement protocols to determine if physicians meet certain quality standards. CSC follows NCQA guidelines and has created additional criteria specific to cosmetic surgeons.
CSC is currently the only company in the US to formally evaluate physicians in this manner. The comprehensive nature of this methodology sets us apart. It provides clients with peace of mind and a convenient way to find a competent and talented surgeon. All physicians participating with CSC must go through this credentialing process.
Physician selection through credentialing is probably the single most important and complex function that our organization handles. When a physician is interested in becoming a part of our referral panel, it all begins with a Physician Credentialing Application.

CSC verifies and evaluates all of the information we collect. How do we do this? We have an internal credentialing committee made up of several physicians and staff from our organization. The application is first sent to an independent credentialing verification organization (CVO), which performs the primary source verification. We receive a comprehensive packet containing validation of all data, including letters from the educational institution, hospital(s), and malpractice insurance companies, etc. All of this, combined with other criteria, allows us to become familiar with the practice and the status of the physician who is applying. The credentialing committee convenes upon receipt of a completed application. It is assessed for any areas that may require additional input from the applicant. Once this information has been returned and verified, and the doctor has complied with any other requests, he/she is accepted onto the physician referral panel.

We have a limited number of openings for qualified surgeons. Your only cost is an initial application fee of $195 to cover our credentialing expenses. There is not a monthly or annual charge to become a part of our referral panel.
